Michael D. Mehta


On June 21, 2013 founder Dr. Michael Mehta did an interview with CBC on how communities can embrace a renewable energy future and become part of the "electrovore movement."

He subsequently brought together people to form what soon became a non-profit called GabEnergy.

Michael's history with energy goes back to the late 1980s. He has been a Director of several large utilty companies including SaskPower, and he is a Professor who teaches courses on renewable energy at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops.

He also led the development of Canada's first solar sidewalk system built in Kamloops on the campus of Thompson Rivers University. To learn more about the Solar Compass and Solar Sidewalk, check out the following website.

Katherine Edwards


Katherine G. Edwards has worked for CIBC for more than 30 years and she has held numerous positions in branches across Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and BC. She also worked in Head Office in Toronto doing system testing work, and played a key role in the bank's Y2K readiness initiative.
