A new solar array is coming to Gabriola Island

Congratulations to Lesley and Ray of Gabriola Island for deciding to solarize their brand new house. Their new home is being built by Architrave Design Build Ltd and it features a standing seam metal roof. With this kind of roof, solar modules can be installed on rail kits using a special non-penetrating clamp made by S-5.

Their equipment arrived this morning. They are having installed 14 300 Watt monocrystalline modules coupled with Enphase M250 micro-inverters and an Envoy monitoring system. The installation work is being done by Steve Wilford of Solar Den. Steve is one of our recommended installers and he has installed more than 100 solar arrays in BC to-date.

This is their beautiful new home. The modules are being installed on the backside and some strategic tree removal is still required.
