A new photon farm for Gabriola Island
We are thrilled to announce a new solar project coming to Gabriola Island. With our local installer, Steve Wilford from Solar Den, we are building a sleek, modern mini solar farm to grace this acreage on South Road.
With 24 Canadian Solar 305 Watt monocrystalline modules, coupled to industry-leading Enphase IQ7 micro-inverters, this array will generate around 8000 kWh/year of energy. Enough energy to neutralize the consumption of our clients annually.
These modules will be racked using a product called the Titan Lite onto concrete piles. The array will take up a 45’ X 10’ piece of land - a small fraction of the property and about the size of a city bus but only around 7’ tall.
Here’s a short video of how this racking system gets put together.
